Teatri antik i Apolonisë që ka rezistuar për 2300 vjet, rrezikon të shkatërrohet tërësisht nga rrëshqitjet e tokës.
Thuajse gjithë këndi i orkestrës është shembur. Sheshi kryesor i teatrit është përmbytur nga uji, ndërsa shkallaret janë mbuluar nga sasi të mëdha dherash, që kanë dëmtuar edhe ndenjëset. Specialistë të parkut pohojnë se gjendja mund të përkeqësohet edhe me shumë, pasi ne kushtet aktuale te motit, është e pamundur të ndërhyjnë. Rrëshqitjet e dherave nga kodra kanë nisur vitin e kaluar pas gërmimeve të ekspeditës shqiptaro-gjermane. Sipas specialistëve të parkut, kjo situatë mund të shmangej, nëse para kryerjes së punimeve do të realizohej studimi gjeologjik i tokës. Në kodrën mbi teatër, formacioni i tokës ka rezultuar i paqëndrueshëm edhe për shkak të burimeve të shumta ujore.

Almost all the corner of the orchestra has collapsed. Theater's main square is flooded by water, while the steps are covered by large amounts of dirt, which have also damaged seats. Park specialists claim that the situation could deteriorate even more, as in the current weather conditions, it is impossible to intervene. Soil from the hill slides have launched last year after the German-Albanian expedition excavations. According to specialists of the park, this situation could be avoided, if before performing the work will be carried geological survey of the land. On the hill above the theater, has resulted in unsustainable land formation due to multiple water sources.
