Gati një vit pas kësaj deklarate te kryeministrit Berisha mbi masa drastike ndaj pushtetit lokal nëse nuk pastroheshin plazhet apo mjedisi, asgjë nuk ka ndryshuar. Ne kulmin e sezonit turistik, ne vijat me te rëndësishme bregdetare ne vend papastërtitë dhe mbeturinat janë te shumta, por asnjë kryetar bashkie apo komune nuk është shkarkuar deri me sot për këtë arsye. Ne Durrës, jo vetëm banoret e zonës se plazhit, por edhe pushuesit shprehen te shqetësuar për gjendjen. Edhe ne Vlore imazhi i mbeturinave ne bregdet është panorama e njohur. Plazhi i vjetër, ai tek Akademia e Marinës, apo plazhi i njohur si "Tek Rrapi" janë tre nga zonat me shqetësuese për sa i përket papastërtisë. Por nuk janë vetëm plazhet ato qe këtë sezon turistik vijojnë te jene te ndotura nga mbeturinat. E njëjta situate është edhe ne rrugët e qyteteve bregdetare, ku ne disa lagje mungojnë kazanët e plehrave e ne disa te tjera firmat e pastrimit vonojnë punën.
