Kjo parmende druri, e zbuluar pjesërisht ne parkun e Butrintit, është përdorur ne këtë zone 2700 vjet me pare. Sipas arkeologeve objekti është i vetmi i kësaj periudhe i gjetur deri tani ne vendin tone, madje edhe me gjere ne zonën e Epirit. Ekspedita shtate javore zbuloi gjashte metra nën tokë edhe një sere objektesh te tjera qe ishin funksionale për jetesën ne shekullin e shtate para Krishtit. Kodra poshtë forumit, sipas specialisteve, është e mbushur me materiale kocke, qeramike, por edhe druri, qe janë gjetur ne gjendje mjaft te mire, çka dëshmon jetesën qe nga prehistoria e deri ne periudhën otomane. Pak kohe me pare ne Butrint u zbulua edhe forumi romak, zona me e rëndësishme e qytetit antik pas teatrit.
